The «SKAZ» project is a study in which oral folklore, embodied in proverbs, forms the basis for artistic reflection on key issues in contemporary society. Proverbs, as elements of collective memory, act as semantic markers that enable a rethinking of phenomena such as consumer society, the crisis of environmental sustainability, the loss of emotional intimacy, and the erosion of individukl identity. The project explores folk sayings as a universal form of understanding human experience, revealing the potential of traditional values in the age of globalization. It asks the question: can these values offer an alternative to modern ideals? This artistic statement reconstructs the connection between past and present, where folklore becomes a tool for critical analysis of social transformations. The project, therefore, is not only a work of art but also a poignant social commentary, stimulating viewers to reflect and reassess consumer and behavioral practices. It raises questions of identity, historical continuity, and personal responsibility in the contemporary world, transforming tradition into an active medium for artistic and social dialogue.
