Philosophy

"My art is a search for quiet spaces within a loud world. Working with oil on canvas allows me to build layers of texture that reflect the complexity of human memory and emotion. I don't just capture subjects; I attempt to preserve the fleeting atmosphere of a moment—the way light filters through foliage or how a silent space feels. For me, every canvas is a dialogue between structured form and intuitive color, inviting the viewer to slow down and find their own quiet resonance within the piece." Alongside my design illustration career, I love working on picture book projects. I was honoured to be selected for the Edinburgh-based Picturehooks Mentorship Programme as Kate McEwen’s mentee. I don't just capture subjects; I attempt to preserve the fleeting atmosphere of a moment—the way light filters through foliage or how a silent space feels. For me, every canvas is a dialogue between structured form and intuitive color, inviting the viewer to slow down and find their own quiet resonance within the piece. I also enthusiastically practice the art of motherhood while running a design studio out on the market with quality, unique illustration."
